Brake Caliper Replacement (1 pc.)
The brake caliper is the mechanism that clamps the brake pads onto the rotor. If the caliper is faulty (seized piston or slide pins), it leads to rotor overheating, the car pulling to one side under braking, and premature pad wear.
Signs of failure:
-
The vehicle pulls to one side when applying the brakes.
-
A wheel feels hot or stays partially locked after driving (seized caliper).
-
Brake fluid leaks around the wheel area.
-
Grinding noises or uneven brake pad wear.
What is included in the service:
-
Removing the old caliper and disconnecting the brake line.
-
Inspecting the brake hose and rotor for wear or damage.
-
Installing the new (or remanufactured) brake caliper.
-
Lubricating the caliper slide pins with high-temperature grease.
-
Bleeding: Removing air from the brake lines to ensure proper pedal feel and safety.
-
Checking the brake fluid level and inspecting for any leaks at the connections.
