Suspension Bushing (Silent Block) Replacement (1 pc.)
A suspension bushing (silent block) consists of two metal sleeves bonded by rubber. It connects suspension components and dampens vibrations. Over time, the rubber can perish, crack, or separate from the metal, leading to poor handling and noise.
Signs of a faulty bushing:
-
Dull thuds or squeaking noises when driving over bumps.
-
Reduced steering precision and vehicle instability ("wandering").
-
Visibly cracked, torn, or detached rubber.
-
Uneven tire wear caused by misaligned suspension geometry.
What is included in the service:
-
Removal of the control arm or the relevant suspension component.
-
Pressing out the old bushing using a hydraulic press.
-
Cleaning and inspecting the mounting bore.
-
Pressing in the new bushing, ensuring correct orientation.
-
Reinstalling the component on the vehicle.
-
Important: Final tightening of the bolts is performed while the vehicle is at ride height (under its own weight) to prevent pre-loading and premature failure of the new rubber.
