Control Arm Replacement
Control arms are the primary suspension components that connect the wheel hub to the vehicle's frame. Worn bushings or ball joints, as well as structural damage to the arm itself after an impact, make driving unsafe and cause premature tire wear.
Signs of a faulty control arm:
-
Clunking or squeaking noises over bumps or during hard braking.
-
The vehicle pulls to one side while driving straight.
-
Uneven or rapid tire tread wear.
-
The wheel appears off-center in the wheel arch or has incorrect camber.
What is included in the service:
-
Removal of the old control arm and inspection of mounting hardware.
-
Inspection of related components (shocks, sway bar links).
-
Installation of the new control arm using correct torque specs.
-
Important: Final tightening of the bushings is done only while the car is under its own weight (loaded) to prevent premature bushing failure.
-
Recommendation for a professional wheel alignment.
