Coolant (Antifreeze) Replacement
Coolant is vital for preventing engine freeze-up in winter and overheating in the summer. It also lubricates the water pump and inhibits corrosion within the system. Over time, the protective additives degrade, leading to scale buildup and rust. It is recommended to replace the coolant every 2–4 years.
When should the coolant be replaced?

The fluid has turned brown, cloudy, or shows sediment in the reservoir.

The engine heats up faster than usual.

It has been more than 3 years since the last service.

A density test shows that the fluid has lost its protective properties.
What is included in the service:

Draining the old coolant from the radiator and engine block.

Visual inspection of hoses and the expansion tank for leaks or cracks.

Flushing the system (if the old fluid was heavily contaminated).

Refilling with new antifreeze that meets OEM specifications (G11, G12, G12++, G13).

Bleeding the air out of the system and verifying the cooling fan operation.
