Clutch Kit Replacement (Manual Transmission R&I)
The clutch is the vital link between the engine and the gearbox. Constant gear changes on mountain roads and hill starts in traffic lead to natural wear of the clutch disc. We provide a complete kit replacement, ensuring smooth shifting and no slipping.
Signs of wear:
-
Slipping: The engine revs up, but the car fails to accelerate properly (especially in higher gears).
-
High pedal travel: The clutch engages only at the very top of the pedal stroke.
-
Noise: A squealing or rattling sound that changes when the clutch pedal is pressed.
-
Hard shifting: Difficulty engaging first or reverse gear.
What is included in the service:
-
Removal of the manual transmission.
-
Removal of the old pressure plate and clutch disc.
-
Replacement of the release (throw-out) bearing or hydraulic slave cylinder.
-
Cleaning the input shaft and inspecting the flywheel surface.
-
Installation of the new clutch kit with proper disc alignment.
-
Testing and, if necessary, cable adjustment or hydraulic system bleeding.
