Throttle Body Replacement
The throttle body regulates the amount of air entering the engine. Over time, the electronic actuator can fail, or the butterfly valve may seize due to heavy carbon buildup. A properly functioning throttle body is essential for a smooth idle and immediate throttle response.
Signs of failure:
-
Rough or fluctuating idle speeds.
-
Engine stalling when letting off the gas or coming to a stop.
-
Hesitation or "stumbling" during acceleration.
-
"Check Engine" light or entering "Limp Mode" (EPC light).
-
Reduced fuel economy.
What is included in the service:
-
Removal of the air intake hose and electrical connectors.
-
Dismounting the old throttle body assembly.
-
Cleaning the intake manifold mounting surface.
-
Installing the new throttle body with a fresh gasket/seal.
-
Adaptation (Relearn): Programming the new throttle body using a diagnostic scan tool to synchronize it with the Engine Control Unit (ECU).
