Battery Replacement & Registration
The battery powers the electronics and cranks the engine. In modern vehicles (especially those with Start-Stop systems), simply swapping the battery isn't enough — it must be registered in the control unit so the alternator can provide the correct charging current.
Signs that replacement is needed:
-
Slow or sluggish engine cranking (especially in cold weather).
-
Dashboard messages: "Low Battery", "Replace Battery", or Start-Stop system failure.
-
Rapid discharge when the engine is off.
-
Corroded terminals or a swollen battery case.
What is included in the service:
-
Testing: Load testing the old battery and checking the alternator's output.
-
Safe Replacement: Swapping the battery while maintaining backup power (to prevent resetting multimedia and vehicle settings).
-
Maintenance: Cleaning the terminals and applying anti-corrosion protection.
-
Software Registration: Coding the new battery into the vehicle's ECU (updating capacity and type: AGM/EFB).
