EGR Valve Software & Physical Delete
The EGR system recirculates a portion of exhaust gases back into the engine cylinders. Over time, the valve accumulates heavy carbon deposits, leading to sticking and contaminating the intake manifold with soot, which "suffocates" the engine.
Signs of failure:
-
Significant loss of power and poor throttle response.
-
Excessive black smoke from the exhaust.
-
Rough or unstable idling.
-
"Check Engine" light with fault codes related to EGR flow.
What is included in the service:
-
Diagnostics: Checking valve operation and intake clogging levels.
-
Software Delete: Reprogramming the ECU to permanently close the valve and disable monitoring.
-
Physical Removal: Installing blanking plates (if necessary) to completely seal the intake from exhaust gases.
-
Recommendation: Often combined with intake manifold cleaning to restore original engine breathing and performance.
