Comprehensive A/C System Diagnostics
If your A/C stops cooling, a simple regas might not be enough. We perform a step-by-step system check to identify the true cause of the problem—ranging from hairline cracks in the condenser to faulty pressure sensors.
Diagnostic Stages:
-
Visual Inspection: Checking the compressor belt, condenser condition, and hose integrity.
-
Pressure Leak Test (Nitrogen): Pressurizing the system with nitrogen. This is the most reliable method for finding leaks, as nitrogen molecules are smaller than refrigerant molecules.
-
UV Dye Detection: Searching for traces of fluorescent dye using a UV lamp (if previously added).
-
Electrical Testing: Diagnosing the compressor clutch, pressure switches, cooling fans, and climate control module.
-
Performance Test: Measuring vent exit temperatures and analyzing high/low side operating pressures.
