Starter Motor Replacement (Removal & Installation)
The starter motor is responsible for cranking the engine to get it started. Due to heavy loads, contamination, or worn-out brushes, it can fail, leaving your vehicle stranded.
Signs of failure:
-
Clicking sound when turning the key, but the engine won't crank.
-
The starter cranks very slowly ("sluggish"), even with a fully charged battery.
-
Grinding or screeching noises during startup.
-
The starter keeps running (whirring) after the engine has already started.
What is included in the service:
-
Diagnostics: Checking the power circuit, relay, and battery health.
-
Removal: Removing the engine undertray and extracting the faulty starter motor.
-
Inspection: Checking the flywheel ring gear and electrical terminals for wear or corrosion.
-
Installation: Fitting a new or reconditioned starter and verifying smooth engine ignition.
