A/C Condenser Replacement
The A/C condenser is responsible for cooling the refrigerant. Due to its location at the front of the car, it is highly susceptible to road debris and corrosion. Even a pinhole leak will cause the refrigerant to escape, causing the A/C system to fail.
When is replacement needed:
-
Visible oily residue on the condenser fins (a sign of leakage).
-
The A/C system won't engage due to low pressure.
-
Nitrogen or UV dye testing confirms a leak in the condenser unit.
-
Severe physical damage to the fins after a collision or stone hit.
What is included:
-
Disassembly: Removing the front bumper and relevant air deflectors/shields.
-
Removal: Carefully disconnecting the high-pressure lines and extracting the old condenser.
-
Installation: Fitting a new condenser and replacing all O-rings with new ones.
-
Vacuum Test: Testing for system integrity and removing air/moisture.
-
Recharging: Filling the system with fresh refrigerant and specialized compressor oil.
