A/C Compressor Replacement
The compressor is the heart of the air conditioning system. If it seizes or fails to build pressure, simply swapping the unit is only half the job. When a compressor fails, internal debris (metal shavings) often contaminates the lines, requiring a thorough flush.
Signs of failure:
-
The A/C system stops blowing cold air.
-
Loud grinding, squealing, or humming noises when A/C is turned on.
-
Visible oil leaks on the compressor body.
-
The clutch engages (clicks), but the system pressure stays low.
What is included in the service:
-
Refrigerant Recovery: Safely extracting old gas using a recovery station.
-
Removal & Inspection: Extracting the failed compressor and checking lines for metal contamination.
-
System Flush (if required): Cleaning the hoses and condenser of debris from the previous unit.
-
Installation: Fitting the new compressor, replacing O-rings, and the receiver-drier.
-
Evacuation & Recharge: Vacuum testing to remove moisture and recharging with the precise amount of refrigerant and oil.
