Oil Filter Replacement
The oil filter acts as the "kidneys" of your engine. It traps metallic debris, carbon deposits, and oil oxidation products. If the filter becomes clogged, the bypass valve opens, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate directly, which significantly accelerates engine wear.
When is replacement needed?
-
During a routine oil change.
-
If an oil leak is detected around the filter seal.
-
If the filter housing is damaged or dented.
-
In case of a faulty internal pressure relief valve.
What is included in the service:
-
Removal of the old filter using a specialized filter wrench.
-
Cleaning the mounting surface on the engine block.
-
Inspecting the mounting stud/threads.
-
Lubrication: Applying fresh oil to the new filter's rubber gasket to ensure a proper seal and prevent sticking.
-
Installing and tightening the new filter to the correct torque specs.
-
Topping up the oil level and performing a final leak check with the engine running.
