Front Shock Absorber (Strut) Replacement (1 pc.)
Front shock absorbers (struts) ensure consistent tire-to-road contact. A worn shock absorber fails to dampen spring oscillations, leading to poor handling, increased braking distance, and premature wear of other suspension components.
Signs of failure:
-
Excessive body roll during cornering or "nose-diving" during braking.
-
The car continues to bounce after hitting a bump.
-
Visible oil leaks on the shock absorber body.
-
Dull thumping noises when driving on uneven surfaces.
What is included in the service:
-
Removal of the complete strut assembly.
-
Compressing the coil spring using a specialized spring compressor.
-
Inspection of the dust boot, bump stop, and strut mount/bearing.
-
Installation of the new shock absorber.
-
Important: Priming (bleeding) the new shock before installation to remove air from the valves.
-
Reassembling the strut and mounting it back on the vehicle.
-
Recommendation for a professional wheel alignment.
